We start with a system level design using as many production components from major fuel injection manufacterers as possible. Production components have better repeatability than prototype components because large amounts of money (tens to hundreds of millions of dollars) have been spent on development and tooling. Production components cost less. Production components are typically available from service outlets to be delivered in less than a week. Sometimes production components cannot be used or modified to meet the engine requirements. Then and only then do we resort to the design and procurement of prototype hardware. In a typical new engine it is possible to use a production injector but it is seldom possible to use an existing nozzle orifice pattern. We have considerable experience in designing and procuring nozzles and blanks. We then EDM orifices to provide a spray pattern tuned to the requirements of your engine. Patterns can be changed quickly as development testing proceeds. If we get into long term testing we have the orifices hydro-ground to provide better high pressure capability and more consistent spray throughout the nozzle life. |

We have developed common rail fuel systems for use with a variety of rotary and piston engines requiring unique multi-injector firing configurations, as well as for more conventional engine configurations.
